Dinosaur and Reptile Skin

LUKE PIASECK

Hi there, I'm trying to render and later animate some realistic looking dinosaurs. For the objects I think I'll go for Jurassic collection (for LW ) or try to modell something similar on Real3D 3.3. My main problem are the textures... what kind of and where could I get them from? I have no idea how to "texture" a dino object so it looks almost as realistic as the ones in Jurassic Park...please help me. Where can I get them from? Also I have to my disposal Imagine 3.3 and Forge with Essence so I could render some of the textures and use them as brush maps in LW or Real3D, the problem again is which ones and how...

In LW 4.0 try using the crumple texture as a bump map with a texture size of 1.0, number of scales 4, small power 2, and an amplitude of 25%. Also use bump array in either the color or diffuse channel with a radius of .01,spacing .005, and bump strength -.5. On the Jurrasic T-Rex it looks good to me, and because it's all algorithmic you want have any problems fitting an image map onto a curved surface.
